Close-up of hardened-off tree
There are many roots growing through the burlap on this hardened-off magnolia. This tree is likely to perform well in the landscape. Some trees perform poorly if they are dug from a nursery and planted into the landscape in a few days or a couple weeks after digging. For this reason, many growers in Florida dig trees, harden them off, then market them to contractors.
