Fabulous form on young tree
Long low branches help ensure that the lower trunk will develop rapidly. With trials on your own, you will come to understand how short to trim these branches back to. On some trees, such as willow oak, they should be left to grow very long. On others, they can be trimmed closer to the trunk.
