ligustrum root ball

The media has been partially removed on this 15 gallon container grown ligustrum exposing roots inside. The tree was grown inside the fabric which was inside a traditional plastic container. The tree was planted from a three gallon container 15 months ago. There were many roots on the outside edge of the root ball but none were circling around the container. Roots get caught in the fabric which reduces circling.
