One-sided root system from high container temperatures

one sided root system

High container temperatures on the right hand side caused root death on that side. Few roots are able to grow on the hot side of the container. This can be the south and west side in many regions in the northern hemisphere. These trees can become unstable after planting into the landscape as roots grow only from one side of the root ball.
