Palm staking
Appropriate staking is shown to the left. Stakes should be removed within about one year
after planting when roots can support the palm. However, there is too
much soil over the root ball in this photo. This should be removed before
leaving the job site. The top-most roots should be visible at the surface
of the root ball.
Metal
strapping should secure the vertical 2x4s to the trunk. Enough 2x4s
should be used to keep the prevent the metal from damaging the trunk.
