Year 3-4 focuses on finishing the canopy
The third and fourth years focus on finishing a canopy that has a pleasing shape around a dominant leader. The canopy has developed good spread by now but low temporary branches have been periodically shortened to prepare them for removal. Typically, they will be removed from the tree this year.
