Several months after cutting to ground

sprout growing from cut stumpThis tree had a severe bend in the trunk and the canopy was one sided. The tree was cut to the ground to stimulate sprouts. All sprouts were removed except for one. The remaining sprout is seen in this photo growing straight and fast. There are no branches in the top 5 feet of the tree. The next several photos will show you how to generate branches here.
