Before pruning: branch structure
Branch structure close-up
Previous prunings developed a decent structure with two major branches spaced along a dominant trunk. Both branches are now almost the size of the trunk. Growth rate on both major branches needs to be slowed by pruning on each of them. Note that low branches were topped to reveal the branch and trunk structure, and to make the bottom of the canopy visible. This can make the job of removing these temporary branches easier.
