Three stems are growing from the same point on the tree. One should be trained into the dominant leader. This will be accomplished by removing one entirely and severely shortening the other one.

Now there is one leader. The longest branch on the right side of the tree will become the first major branch in the permanent nursery canopy. Low temporary branches were not pruned.
