Sustainable buffer strip on side of property
Buffer strips on the side of the property make more sense than those out front under utility lines. Often, there are no utililty lines on the side of the property.
Trees in large soil spaces with no utility lines nearby can grow to a large size. If we could make just this one change in the way we design our urban landscapes we could dramatically improve the urban forest.
