Date palm

Date palms came through hurricanes fairly well. Most damage appeared to be confined to frond bases bending and fibers breaking causing fronds to permanently droop. All green fronds should be left to help the palm recover during the following year. Green fronds will allow the palm to regain energy reserves and fight pest problems in the coming months. Some lower fronds can be removed as they turn brown.

Neither of these palms requires anything at this time. Leave green fronds intact to allow the palm to recover.
