Cut roots caused tree to lean

cut roots caused tree to leanRoots on this elm were cut when the driveway (lower right in the photo) was installed. Combined with the lions-tailing and over-lifting of the canopy which shifted weight to the top of the tree, cut roots resulted in the tree leaning severely.

Treatment: The tree should be removed because roots will not be able to hold the tree up.
