Before pruning

No low branches need to be pruned because they are not too long or large in diameter. A little bit of work can be done at the very top of the tree. One branch has outgrown the leader and it needs to be shortened.

After pruning

The canopy is developing nicely. It has a cone shape with a dominant leader in the center. Small competing stems and branches were removed at the very top of the tree.
