Year 2/3 overview

Shorten lower, train upper branches

Lower temporary branches are shortened and some might be removed the second and third year of production. The canopy is trained into a cone, teardrop or oval using reduction and heading cuts. Crowded and crossing branches in the canopy are removed back to the trunk, or they are shortened.
