Before pruning

This tree could use a fair amount of work. There are several stems growing up into the top of the canopy. These should be reduced.

 

After pruning

The aggressive upright stems have been shortened using reduction cuts where possible. Heading cuts can be used but sprouts from the cut often grow more upright compared to the growth that occurs following a reduction cut.
