Tabebuia grown in different propagation containers
Yellow trumpet tree (Tabebuia argentia) in two different propagation container types grew very different root systems.
Smooth sided container
This tree was grown in a smooth sided liner pot and then shifted to a smooth sided one gallon container. Note most roots are twisted together and growing down and circling the trunk at the position of the liner pot. |
This tree was grown in an Elle pot liner, then shifted to a container with 90% air and only 10% plastic. There are no root defects on this root system. |
