Cutting burlap from the root ball

cut burlap from top of root ball

Cut burlap from the top of the root ball with a pruner, knife, or other sharp blade. If burlap is synthetic, remove ALL of it. Synthetic burlap melts resulting in a plastic goo; real burlap flames and turns to ash. The top tier of wire on the wire basket was removed when this tree was planted.
