Elaeocarpus persicaefolius, Blueberry

Not a well known plant. Trees I have seen were growing in botanical gardens, and they appeared to have large surface roots. Trees grow quite large and require adequate soil space for root expansion. Canopy arises from several large diameter scaffold branches and good form develops with some early pruning to space major scaffold branches apart along a dominant trunk.
