Before pruning

The canopy looks like quite a mess before pruning. It has not been pruned in about 8 months. There is one trunk up to about 7 feet, then the canopy appears to divide into several codominant stems.

After pruning

With carefully selected reduction cuts and some heading cuts, there is one leader and the canopy has a nice shape.
