Several upright stems growing from the lower and middle portion of the tree are reaching into the canopy top. These need to be shortened.

Upright stems originating from the lower 5 feet of the trunk were shortened. The longest branch on the left side of the tree will become the lowest branch in the permanent nursery canopy.
