roots quickly spread to outside the edge of the branches. The edge of
the branches, commonly referred to as the dripline, is indicated by
the dashed line. The black lines are the roots. Roots are commonly found
out as far as two to three times the dripline. This means that if the
tree crown is 10 feet wide roots can be found out about 20 to 30 feet,
sometimes farther.
