Branch size relative to trunk

Branches should be no larger in diameter than two-thirds the trunk diameter. The branch on the right is exactly two-thirds the trunk size. The overlapping trunk and branch tissue on branches that remain small in comparision to the trunk does not develop when branches grow large compared to the trunk.
