Dr. Sandra Wilson

Dr. Sandra Wilson (Sandy) is an associate professor of Environmental Horticulture at the Indian River Research and Education Center in Fort Pierce. She received her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Clemson University. She completed post doctoral studies both at Clemson University and Chiba University, Japan. Her research interests include native plant propagation and production, and understanding the invasive potential of ornamental plants in Florida. She teaches several courses in these areas and directs the IRREC teaching gardens. In her free time she enjoys cooking, quilting, hiking, and spoiling her dog and four cats.
