The turfgrass industry must be able to follow a national trend toward environmentalism to meet the demands of today's society. Dr. Miller's research program will emphasize activities that address the environmental concerns of the commercial turfgrass industry. More specifically, he will be evaluating the nutritional and physiological influences on growth and development of turfgrass species. His research efforts will concentrate on the influences of various soil amendments, nutrients, and effluent water on turfgrass and the environment. Instructional programs include teaching introductory turfgrass culture and sports turf management and team-teaching environmental landscape management. He also serves as a faculty advisor to the UF Turfgrass Club.
