As a Consumer Horticultural Specialist for Florida, Robert J. Black's primary responsibility is to develop, supervise, and actively participate in statewide programs affecting all phases of environmental horticulture in urban environments (landscaping, lawns, flowers, foliage, and woody plants). Dr. Black is also the horticulture extension-agent liaison and coordinator of extension publications and plan of work for the Department of Environmental Horticulture. Dr. Black organizes and participates in programs for Florida residents, 4-H youth groups, and garden clubs.
