2004
Welcome to our Fall 2004 Poinsettia Height Control Examples. We are growing 14 different poinsettia crops in our greenhouses at the University of Florida in Gainesville and will make height control decisions weekly. Notes are included each week on how we made the growth regulator decisions. A short description of the variety is included in the first week's notes. Plant heights are plotted against a graphical tracking curve that provides a general guide to the desired plant heights at different times during production. For more information about graphical tracking poinsettia heights or to build your own graphs go to http://www.ecke.com/html/h_points/points_tech.shtml and look under Graphical Tracking Software. At one point they ask you to select the type of curve you want from "Standard curve" or "Late Curve" for pinched crops. In warm climates, it is better to use "Late Curve." Click
