Dr. Jason Dettman-Kruse is an assistant professor of Environmental Horticulture in Gainesville and is the coordinator for the statewide Interdisciplinary Golf and Sports Turf major. Dr. Dettman-Kruse also serves as the facilities director of the Turfgrass Envirotron, a laboratory, greenhouse, and rhizotron facility located on campus, which is dedicated to turfgrass research and education. He teaches Turfgrass Culture, Golf and Sports Turf Management, and team teaches Landscape and Turfgrass Management. His research interests include irrigation scheduling, remote sensing, and the relationship between athletic field surfaces and player safety. Jason enjoys cycling, golf, and photography in his spare time.
