Clean WateR3 Modeling Meeting Works to Conserve Water and Reduce Runoff
The Environmental Horticulture Dept. including Professor Paul Fisher (bottom row, right) and graduate students Erin Yafuso (bottom row, left) and Ulrich Adegbola (bottom row, second from right) hosted researchers from around the US in Jan 2017. The team is modeling water budgets in greenhouses and nurseries to evaluate the efficiency of water conservation and recycling technologies. This modeling effort is part of a national NIFA grant described at CleanWater3.org. Benefits will include conservation of water in plant nurseries, and reduced runoff of fertilizers and pesticides.
